  As a regular traveller for work, it's always nice to find a Premier Inn with a decent eaterie attached. The food served in The Swan is always perfect and served in beautiful surroundings. I'd highly recommend this place for a great evening out.

  Unfortunately I am forced to give you 1 star (I'd rather it be 0 but google would not let me).
  
  It would seem that in my case the The Swan couldn't even manage to notify me that my booking would not be possible until the morning of the meal. I understand perfectly that mistakes can be made, however, the excuses made were feeble at best. Any business, let alone restaurant, that "doesn't check their bookings until the morning of the day in question" either doesn't care about its custom or is quite literally personifying the old saying 'couldn't organise a **** up in brewery'.
  
  In all, even this bad review could have been mitigated by a hint of empathy over the phone. In short, actions have consequences: you forced me to find an alternative venue for a 10 person birthday meal and hence this review is a product of your own doing.
  
  I hear only nice things about this restaurant. Its a shame that the courtesy cannot be extended to all of your guests!
